My 1988 T-Bird had manual crank windows. Had the 3.8L V6, power mirrors, cruise and tilt with rear defrost. I don't believe that was rare but don't quote me.

supposedly there is an 87-88 bird down the street with crank windows but I have yet to verify this.

There's an '87 in Brookfield (4 miles from me) with manual winders.
Yes, winders. :hick:

Uncommon or not, when they pull the engine from it for a truck, I'm snagging up the shell for some parts...including those manual winders.

My old 86 only had two options. A car with a passenger side mirror still has options. It had a digi dash, and the 5.0. No anything else. Origionally had no passenger side mirror, and nothing on the switch area.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

That body doesn't look too bad in the pics. That car has signs of being taken care of until ...??? (probably driveline related)

Looks like good drag car potential.....:D

I hated that whole CARS program....brought out the true ignorance in politicians.

I saw several nice cars get turned in only to be destroyed.

Yeah it was a waste and the REAL clunkers are still on the road cause the people that own them cant afford to get a new car even with those stupid incentives (is that right cant spell good lol).
