I like how it's got an 87 88 front clip just thrown on there....yet they kept the four eyes. :hick:

I don't think its an actual 'vert. I sure hope not...
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

It's a Cougar. You can tell by the rear lights and that's definitely not a mustang windsheild. They sure chopped a lot off the length, didn't they. It's ugly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I'm going to risk a lynching by saying those cutouts for the toys in the front fender are actually interesting. That's a very unique touch. Still, it's not a car, it's a piece of rolling art, so it might help you sleep at night not to think about what it used to be.

I thought it was a Mustang too, until I saw the rear. Definitely Cougar.

It's different, that's for sure.

What...umm, keeps the toys from falling out/off? lol

After a careful read, the original car was rusted out. Rather then fixing the holes the way they were normally fixed, they cut them out into shapes and fit toys into them. Then while towing the car, it literally broke in half. So they bought another car, swaped in a bunch of mustang stuff, including interior and engine/dash. Then they shortened the wheelbase 27". Then they decided that the front and back no longer matched the car, and had to cut off the roof so you could get in and out.

So, the front has an 87 header panel with and 85 thunderbird front flipped upside down and bondoed to the origional. Then the bumped extended out to far, so they cut it off, and used a 85 thunderbird trunklid for the bumper.

Overall, a neat idea, but way to much work.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
