351 Windsor block limitations

Does the 351 Windsor have the same block limitations as the 302 of 600hp? I have never heard anything about the 351 limitations. The girdle must increase the blocks capabilities and limitations, but how much?

I am looking at building a 427 or 408 Clevor that makes close to 650 hp NA and wanted to know if this would be a worry for a stock 96+ roller cam 351 block. I really do not have the funds for a Dart or Boss 351 block and would like to stick to the factory block.

Any thoughts............

Around 7-750 from what i've heard.

Mine broke @ 675rear wheel HP  with a single turbo thur an AOD

 It was a 84 model block

What did you build after that? Dart? Boss? Man-O'-War?

What a 351 is capable of handling is mostly in the short block...but if you don't have a good tune on it, that'll kill even the best of short blocks quickly.

675@ the wheels through an AOD has gotta be a solid 800+ horsepower at the crank, and I'm sure a like amount of torque.  Sounds like a good set up to me.

I went with a Man-O-War 9.5 deck block 4.125 bore.

Just had another  custmer with a S trim on a stock Lightening block  pushing about
 450 RWHP bust the block but could have had a rod break 1st not sure.

 I figure about 25% loss thur an AOD so that would be about 843 @ the crank

This Clevor combo would be capable of 750ish NA HP at 6800 RPM. I guess that using an aftermarket block to begin with makes the most sense.
