Was an engine/block plate used on the Vulcan 3.0's?

I know, kind of random.

I know one wasn't used on the SHO's, but did the Rangers/Aerostars, etc that used the std 3.0 Vulcan V6 have a plate between the engine and the bellhousing?

Yep, they sure did.  I was putting together a 90' ranger 4X4 that was originally a 2.9. The guy I got the truck from had picked up a 3.0 w/trans for it out of a 4X2, I found out the hard way that they wouldn't swap :( I didn't realize at the time that they were different until I compared block plates.
