A little door mirror tip......

This is what I did....remove the mirrors, wet sand them with 1500 then 2000 grit paper (I use 3M),then go over them a few times with Mother's mag and Aluminum Polish, and they will shine like a black mirror.I wax them when I wax the car.Great looking and for the most part....free.

Anyone ever tried with the chrome mirrors? I have a set that are pretty decent but not perfect, It'd hate to screw them up.

I'm just telling a way to make the black mirrors look like black glass.

Wait...so the plastic on those are black also? Either way, I just have mine painted base/clear with the rest of the car.

The Bird's mirrors are black plastic.I've painted them before as well, and end up with rock chips in the paint, etc.SO,I decided I'd try something different, and the polishing was great.
