5.0 to JUNK YARD HO swap..??????

Sorry to ask of such a question but... junk yard and me. today i saw an 87 thunderbird with a 5.0 HO. i have an 88 xr7 5.0 not HO. i want to convert over... is it hard or easy... what do i need for the swap..or do i only need certain parts off the jy motor to adapt to mine.. please any help would be great as i feel as this maybe something to jump on.. as well does anybody need anything from the 87 thunder bird.. we can swap numbers and i can let you know what the car has and what they charge.. i would do this as a favor not to make any money off the the deal. a little back scratching...

Mucho parts need to be swapped to convert a SO 5.0 to HO, search Cool Cats for details(link at top of page), it's easier to swap engines than convert... Now, IF it really has a HO, it's already been swapped... No Fox Bird/Coug ever had a HO from factory... If it uses a speed densety EEC setup, all that is necessary is swap engines, 'puters, and perform mods to your exhaust system to accommodate the tube headers(It did have headers?)... If it has a Mass Air computer setup, you'd need to either swap the harnesses or convert your current harness to the mass air setup, in addition to above...

I'll make the search of CC easy, here's link to HO conversion...

What color are the fuel injectors on this "H.O." in the yard?

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
