Anyone have a cold air induction pipe/system installed? And if so could you post pics?

I just installed one. I used the Spectre system you can buy at almost any parts store. I currently do not have any pics but I can explain to you how to do it if your interested ( depending on what car you have) Mines on an 88 3.8L the 5.0 would be similar but I dont know about the 2.3

here is my intake system. I'm not sure what engine combo you were looking for but mine is the 2.3T. I used a kit for a 5.0 mustang and cut the tubes to work.

Thanks guys. I have an 88 5.0L and I'll try to find the Spectre kind at the parts store. Is it an easy install?

Not the bst pic,but the best I have today.The filter goes into the fender.If you have an exposed filter under the hood,you're only letting the engine suck in hot air.....

i have one on my 87 5.0, i used a bbk fenderwell induction set-up for a mustang,super easy,pretty and about $140 shipped

the only issue is the is a space for the mass air sensor,you can by an air inlet tube on ebay Or just buy the mass air sensor for about $20 on ebay (BUT DONT HOOK IT UP,YOU WILL DIE)not really but your engine will get jacked up

Hit up ebay. I did that for my Mustang, and got a small section of 3" pipe and another 3" coupler to go in place of the MAF sensor. Worked like a charm.

The factory air box on these cars is already a CAI.Just remove the air silencer from the inner fender,install a quality filter and go with it.I doubt my MAC setup does any better really.

I went the cheap route and used the tubes... what I did was run remove all the stock intake equipment and run through the existing hole in the sidewall run down below the radiator overflow tank and connected the filter there so still to induct cold air from the dams in the front bumper and then ran another hose from there to the behind the grill as to try to get some sort of ram air effect with the velocity funnel available with the kit. Its all a custom build that cost around $100 but its pretty easy to do. the hardest part was getting the stock funnel out from inside the chassis and the fender which is easy enough by removing a couple of bolts and then replacing them. I will post pictures soon here and on my cardomain page whenever I can find my camera cable :X

That's why I have the stock air filter box and tubes. The "CAI" kits don't do anything the stock stuff doesn't.

I agree.As I've stated,I went Mass Air and was going to have to get the intake tubes,and got my MAC CAI for such a killer price,otherwise I would've kept the stock pieces.I still have them somewhere in the garage.
