245/40/17 will not fit the front Reply #4 – July 28, 2009, 02:48:10 PM Right now I'm running 245-45s on my fronts with 17x9 cobra knock-offs (don't know the backspacing), and suspension techniques lowering springs (2") without any tire rubbing. I do have the shorter lower control arms ('86 tbird) which bring the wheels inboard but I'm not sure they're necessary for the tire clearance...I did it for the stance. Quote Selected
245/40/17 will not fit the front Reply #5 – July 28, 2009, 06:49:32 PM I run steeda springs (not sure how much they lowered...at least 2") with 17x9 generic cobra r's. Not sure what my offset is either. I have stock lower control arms and no rubbing. Quote Selected

245/40/17 will not fit the front Reply #7 – August 11, 2009, 04:29:16 PM I've got 245 50 16's, but I have to run 1/4" spacers up front with the stock suspension for tire clearance to the strut. Quote Selected
