WTB - Interior trim clips

Well at some point I have misplaced the clips that hold the metal trim pieces up that go over the doors.

I get them all painted up and now I can't find the clips :hick:

I can't believe I can't any from the 2 other interiors I have taken apart :punchballs:

There are 2 clips per side IIRC.

Scott,

Sit in the driver seat, look to your left, look up.  That piece of metal trim (between the A and B pilars) above the door.  It's held to the body with two largish clips.  I need 4 of those clips.

no way in hell i have those,, sorry.  misunderstanding.

Those parts are under the trim holding the headliner up.

I know who might have them,,,,Dr D on the old bird he is parting.  Maybe those on his bird might be more year friendly with your model.

The A pilar is the front pilar (windshield), the B pilar is the rear of the front door, the C pilar is the one at the rear (rear window).

You won't see the clips because they are behind that metal piece of interior trim, holding it up.  You have to remove the one phillips-head screw at the rear of the piece, and then basically yank on that piece of trim to remove it.

I've checked 3 places now, and it appears all 3 sets of clips I had have gone AWOL.

Look at the pic here.

See the missing piece above the pass door?

The clips are what holds it up, and that is what I need.

Vin, just let me know if you find them.  They may be 83-85 only.  I dunno.  I just need 4.  Even two would get me by.

Thanks

I'm very certain that on '87-88's the trim is held on simply by self tapping screws which go into the sheetmetal. At least, the 4 '88s I've had were that way...
