Jeff's favorite car/part search engines

I spent quite a while searching for a car and now am searching for parts and came across a couple good search sites.

People are migrating away from pay sites like autotrader, cars.com, etc and towards craigslist.  Craigslist is difficult to search because till recently it was one location at a time.  Some guy developed a search engine for craigslist that can be national, by state or by region.  It can also search parts, boats, tractors too.  It also searches ebay.

Check it out.

Another good site that taps alot of small local adds is oodle.  It also does cars and auto parts.  Its very good.

Hope this is useful.

A good place to use for finding parts is http://www.car-part.com it searches JY's near you or anywhere in the USA.

Kijiji is tops around here. I know it made its debut in the USA last year, but I don't think it's as popular as Craigslist there yet. It blows CL out of the water here...

Early last year I used HanksHelper and CraigsHelper for searching two states locally. Both worked great. I ended up purchasing off the local craigslist though.
