A friend of mine has one with a huge amount of engine work done to it.  Also, there is a dealership a few miles from my house.

I wonder what insurance is on one of them. Its a grand for a new 1/4 panel, 500-750 for a new fender...

No thanks.

there also made out of stainless steel so they wont rust.

About 10 years ago, I was about 12 or so, my dad and I went to a car show as part of a grand opening for some sort of store. There was at least 5 maybe 10 all parked by each other. One had pink plastic stretched over the entire body. Looked like really thick plastic wrap. Everything inside the interior was also wrapped.

One had some type of v-8 in it. I want to say a chevy, but really don't remember too much about it. It was before I was into cars. I was more excited about the one with the fake flux capacitor that didn't light up.

I remember my dad telling me after that when he was a kid, they were on a camping trip to Nevada and they didn't used to have speed limits. He said they were driving their old dodge cornet?, said that they were going 140+MPH and got passed by a bunch of delorians. Said they ran back into them at the gas station, and kept saying that he didn't know why anyone would want to throw a v-8 in one.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I'll have to ask him next time I talk to him. It was a long time ago that he told me that.
