Can't communicate with scanner after swap

Hi!

I did the HO conversion on my 88 cougar.  I installed a computer from an 89 mustang, and converted my stock wiring harness for mass air.  The engine seems to run great, but when I accelerate, my check engine light flashes on.  I think it's a problem with my O2's but I can't seem to connect to the computer with a scanner to see what codes are coming up.  Is there any other modifications I need to do to the wiring harness?  I'm using a computer with part# E9ZF-12A650-C2A, catch code A9P.  I read somewhere that it may be because I need to modify the wiring harness for the O2 sensors?  Has anyone encountered this?

Thanks,
Chris

Does the check engine light flash the codes when you activate the scanner??? If so remove the bulb, and the scanner should be able to get a large enough pulse to read codes...
