86 T-Bird 5.0 fuel pump isolator biscuit

Hi all,

New member here trying to get my parents old 86 5.0 'Bird running. Appeared to need a fuel pump (no pressure, but did make noise), so got a pump and pulled the tank and found the standard failed hose. All is ok so far.

But where can I find the isolator grommet-biscuit-thingy that holds the pump into the pump support bracket?

The one in the tank had rotted to the point of not holding the pump into the bracket (may have helped the hose pull and fail). It is rubber cylinder and is about 4" long, 3" in diameter and the pump fits inside down the middle. I don't want to buy a $200 "complete pump assembly" to get a $300 car running when I have everything but this. Anyone deal this issue and find a workaround? I am thinking of machining one from wood and clamping it together.

Ideas?

Thank you,
Tom
