Part for my 1983 Cougar

I'm desparately looking for a delay wiper control module. Basicly a timer. Its located under the dash in a small box. My baby has been parked for 9 years and I cant wait to drive her, but I cant get an inspection sticker cause the wipers wont shut off because of the delay unit!

No biggie. With the car off and wipers in the down position unplug them. If you have to make them work for the inspection pull your delay box down and unplug it there. Plug in for the test unplug to turn off. Also I do believe you can get a new box at the dealer or maybe even find one at the salvage yard. The part is the same 83-88 so good luck. For yours and others information. The delay box is located. Above the Fuse box. Yes you read that right Above the fuse box. I had to take the fuse box down and get up there to get it out of there. I just followed the wires from the switch to it. Then once the box is down simple unplug and plug in two plugs and reinstall it. Might want to check a used one before you put it all back in place. Also when I did it those two plugs look really close to the same. I would also go as far as to say looks like you could leave the delay box out and then you have no delay. Probably need a different wiper motor and maybe even a switch.
