Dan..I don't think he cares what year it is lol.  We are all into the Cougars and t-birds, but he really prefers the birds.
He loves any year.... right now he's taking Auto body at Boces in Ashville..... he's pretty good at it too. He just wants to work on cars. lol  He plans to go to Ohio Tech to further his education for autobody and painting once he graduates.

Ok well before I offer it for sale I will send you a note to see if he is still interested. Since it would be going to a fellow enthusiast it would be very cheap, actually lets not use the word cheap as that sounds bad, it would be very cost effective. I used to work with guys that went thru those type of tech schools. He should see if he can hook up with a manufacturer. The guys I know had the schooling reimbursed thru Mercedes as long as they agreed to stay on with a dealership for a certain amount of time. They also helped get them placed in dealerships.

Gives me that sick feeling in my stomach that makes me want to:beatyoass:.

Bad move on his part. I dont think I could ever do that. Hell if I was you and I bought the car from him I would still consult him before selling.

At least his first car would be something he is passionate about. My first car got beaten like it owed me money.

Don't feel too bad, I had it worse at one point. I was promised a car, Porsche 924, if I got good grades. My grades came up, honor roll, then my father sold the car.
It's Gumby's fault.

Don't think that's quite the same. This was something he and his father had worked on together, I'm sure there were good memories/bonding during the resto of the car and maybe now it all seems to kinda have gone down the drain for him......not saying your situation didn't suck ( as I would have been ripped too)

We worked on the car quite a bit together, not to mention he had me cleaning it up to sell it, without me knowing he was selling it.

I have never broken that kind of a promise to my boys.  Money / work has been an issue in our family as times move on and I have always made good on promises.  One promise i did fall out on was getting the boys and I 4wheelers.  The wife wont have any of that.  So,,,, I take the heat from the boys once in a while.

Will have the Cougar 5 years in August. Was my first car and I couldnt have asked for anything more from a $400 car. Best choice I ever made was keeping it.
