Water Pump bolts.

Does anyone have a picture of where the water pump studs (as opposed to the bolts) go?  I need to get the engine finished.  My manual has the exploded view for the 2.3, 3.8 and 4.6 but not the 5.0.

Thanks,
DZ

Eh.  Ill just move them around when I find they are in the wrong placement.  It's almost finished!

I cropped out my garage garbage.  How does it look?

I bought them second hand.  They only have maybe 100 miles on them so I decided to just put them on.  I think it gives it a nice two-tone.

Hey!  It's a work in progress... she's coming apart... it'll be cleaned soon.

There's nothing wrong with it. :)

You can see the studs perfectly ;)

It looks like oil was dumped straight onto the motor, along with some type of mildew. Just curious as my high mileage motor just had an inch of dirt up front and oil on the back.

Edit:
I should add that with bolts looking like that (it may just be the picture), I'd get some studs, washers, and nuts and make your own new bolts rather than have the good potential of breaking them off. I don't think you can get the stock replacements anywhere. I used grade 8 threaded rods with no issues.

Looks like the flash went off when the picture was taken....This can cause things to look different then what they would in real life.  Looks like a moor with some oil/grease/dirt buildup under harsh light to me....

I'm just trying to figure out how the oil got there. All I can figure is nasty blowby and a lower intake front gasket leak. It could just be dirt that got water on it but it looks thicker. Anyways, the waterpump bolts are clear, yes. Just make sure you put good bolts in because the water pump bolts ARE the most likely to break. The lower/inner part of the studs/bolts around the timing cover get eaten away by a semi-leaking gasket all too often. The one in the thread creator's picture look to be in good condition.

Thanks CougarXLS.  That was the image I was looking for.  Spray it down with some degreaser and take it to the pressure washer...it'll look almost as good as new.
