Will never be forgotten by many people in towns not far from me, as 3 people died in 2 and possibly more separate tornadoes.

I've found a few funnel pics online, and took some damage pics yesterday when I passed through the area on unrelated business.

While this wasn't as bad or as destructive as the one that pretty effectively wiped out Greensburg, Kansas just a little over 2 years ago, it was still deadly.

I went through the area yesterday, and while I've seen storm damage before, my heart goes out to those affected by this tornadic tragedy. I took some pics of the damage, but out of respect, I'm not going to post them.
Let me just say in some areas it looks like a nuclear bomb went off, and leave it at that. Had the twisters that hit Kirksville been a little further south, it would have been very tragic. Words can't really describe the feelings I have about it, and it's very lucky that no more casualties than what there were.
I think the storm is probably going to be rated an EF2, or lower end EF3, from what I've read online.
For reference, Kirksville is 50 miles northeast of me, and is where my son was born. I know the area very well, and used to have family living there. It's a shame that lives were lost, but very fortunate that it didn't claim more victims.

About a year ago (Memorial day) an EF5 tornado wiped out half of my hometown of Parkersburg, IA killing 8 people in the process. I was 4 hours away on the opposite side of the state at the time and so I couldn't help. My sister on the other hand went out to Parkersburg about an hour after it went through. I'll see if I can get a few photos to share.

You should see if you can get some photos. These sorts of things are nice to have for the memories good and bad.
