Brake fluid vs booster?

Ok its not a fox but the prinl is the same so looking for opinions. Took my 65 out of the garage after storage all winter and master cylinder was nearly empty. The m/c and booster appear damp so it appears I know where the leak is. What effect might that have on the internals of the booster? The car sat since Oct till now and I am assuming worst case that this leak has been going on since then.
