Twitter?

I hear about it all the time but never really understood what it was. From my understanding it is a blog type setup to discuss politics and organizational issues. I guess there can be groups too?

That reason I ask is my school just just remodeled the website and is now on twitter.

As some of you may know from my bitchin about the rules Lindenwood is VERY conservative. Established in 1827, all girls until 1969 when we became a co-ed school. 40 years since then and we still have no co-ed dorms, visitation is limited to lounge M-R like 430-10 (I never use it), in room Fri-Sat 12-12 I think and Sun 12-1030? THIS IS OPEN DOOR VISITATION. They take the girls ID and hold it until she leaves. They also come around and check on you. If we are caught with a girl in our room out side of these guidelines both of us are charged with trespassing and kicked out of school (This is no bluff).

Compare this to another school in MO, Co-ed since 1989 I believe, Co-Ed dorms and much better visitation rules. I can not say the exact times since I cant remember exactly but much more lax. They also have in room all week from my understanding. We have 20 years on them.

I understand the safety issues of not having Co-ed dorms, but with the security system for visitation we have now visitation would be pretty safe. There are reasons why no one stays here on the weekend.

This is my reason for bringing this up. If twitter is what I think it is I dont see Lindenwood staying on there long. They are going to receive a lot of negative press and dont take well to criticism, as most people dont.

Is it possible for them to remove posted items off their "page"?

I am very curious to see how this is going to pan out.

Myspace then it went to Facebook and now Twitter? I can't keep up with this stuff.

fads,, they come and go. Who cares about twitter anyway, face book is full of virus's and links to stuff that makes your computer crash if your not careful. I never go there, the wife does. Spybot gets pissed at facebook.
