Wow, didn't know they did that in Kentucky. I got caught here in Tennessee when I first moved back here (before I moved out of tn the first time, insurance wasn't mandatory, I think) and I got a ticket - guess I was lucky

that stuff screws you. After I got married, I paid nearly $2000 in no insurance and license suspension fines. Most of them, the car didn't even move and I just got them because I didn't have insurance. Whats really funny, is apparently my works driving record report was really messed up. They said I had nothing on my record. I got married about 1 and a 1/2 years later. When I got married I got pulled over and got a ticket for driving on a suspended license. I knew I had some tickets, but I never ever got a letter in the mail letting me know this.

When I got my license back, I paid $300 in just license suspension fee's. It was something like $15 each suspension. One city tried to give me 6 months jail time. I just barely passed my one year without a ticket getting rid of my jail time.

Whats really messed up, is most of the time I was driving the car, it had insurance. I was under my fathers name to get me a cheaper rate. I wish I wouldn't have been threatened with jail almost everytime I tried to fix it. Otherwise I would have gotten out of alot of it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
