E.e.c F.y.i....

Went to the track yesterday for the first time since installing the Ford Racing C3W1 computer in place of the Mustang A9P. The times actually picked up a little on the top end(approx .06), from the  330 ft to end(660 ft, its a 1/8 mi track). Before(always) if it ran a 5.52 330ft, the 1/8 time would be 8.54-8.55. Now on a 5.51 330, its runing 8.49-8.48... Also has picked up approx .4 mph in the 1/8. No not enough improvement to spend what Ford Racing wants for it, but since it was already in the Blue Bird,
I had to give it a try...

Other than a oil change with the same weight and brand, it is exactly as I ran it last year(haven't even pulled a plug wire).

Isnt that Ford Racing computer a little bit more tolerant of the addition aftermarket parts?

Sorry guys I don't really know what the differences are between the C3W1 and earlier EECs... I'd like to think since its a much later version, it would be better on a modified engine. Unfortunatly other than the slight improvement at the track, I can't really tell any other difference...

I have a C3W without the 1 from a 1993 GT Auto. I wonder if there's any similarity? Not that it matters much anymore since my car is dyno tuned.
