Stang dash in Thunderbird

anyone know if a 84 Mustang dash will fit in a 88 Bird? i know anything can be done with enough cutting, but i was wondering if it's maybe a bolt in?

i have measured and it looks like it would be a pretty close fit
Currently Birdless but never Foxless

One question. Why?

It most likely would bolt in, yes. You'd need the Mustang console also.

The 1983-84 Cougar/T-Bird dash is very similar to the Mustang of that era, by the way. ;)

if you really like to have an older grandma dash do it. You need that stang emblem inside of the car.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

It's been done.  It was on eBay and someone here linked to it a while back.
