Extremely irritating, high pitched noise coming from EGR/TB area

So about a week ago, I was driving around enjoying the warm weather when my car started making a weird noise. Really loud and high pitched, but it still drove fine and was definitely not low on power. Brought it home, dad and I looked at it (and the sound hurts your ears when the hood is up) and figured it was an air leak. When I'm on the throttle at least 1/3rd of the way or so, it goes away. When I let off the gas and/or push in the clutch, it comes back. Basically, the more I'm on the throttle, the quieter it is.

It has also been intermittent. I replaced the EGR and TB gaskets last week, didn't fix it. We noticed the PCV valve in the back of the lower intake had popped out when I first brought it home after the problem started, so we replaced that too. It didn't whistle all week until Friday, and now it's been doing it all weekend. I've put my ears through the torture of trying to find the sound, and I swear it's coming from the EGR/TB area. I may make a vid if I get time either tomorrow or Tuesday. If anybody can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I want to beat it to death with a hammer; every time I come home, I continue hearing the sound ringing in my ears for about 10 minutes.

It probably is the IAC (idel air control valve).  Does it have the
round aluim style or the black plastic 1??

The black plastic 1's are pr0ne to making the noise you speak of.

Take off the belt.  Does it go away?

Regular box air filter.  Silencer is removed.  As for the IAC...I'm not sure, I'll have to look.  Pic (if you're referencing the outside):

Haven't tried the belt.  Sound really doesnt seem to be coming from that area, but I'll definitely look at it if some of the other leads dont seem to be the answer.

x2 when it starts making that noise, try tappin on the side of the IAC with a wrench or something like that, but that doesnt always help noises. but see if it goes away. or if you have a spare swap that on.

Ok, I do think I have another IAC around somewhere.  I'll mess with it some tomorrow or Tuesday.  Thanks guys.

If its as high pitched as you say, I would guess accessory bearing (WP, Alt, Smog, AC, etc), hence the "beltless test".  Troubleshooting is all divide and conquer.

Also +2pts for having a very clean engine bay.  :wtf:

Couple of videos of the problem. I did horrible with the camera in the first one, so don't really pay attention to where I have it pointed. In the 2nd video, I pan the cam across the passenger side of the engine so you can kinda see that it's more towards the center of it, and below where the EGR and TB are. The main suspects for me right now are the upper/lower intake gasket and the passenger side intake/head gasket.

I'll look more into the PCV thing too...cause that's odd how it was popped out.  It hasn't popped out since we replaced it though.

NOTE:  the sound in the 2nd video is a better representative to what it's been sounding like all week.
