Installing upper battleboxes

How do you do that because I thought judging by the pics Ive found, that the holes that are currently in the mounts, you should be able to touch something if you stick a screwdriver through them.  I couldnt touch anything through them, at least the ones on the upper side from the underneath.  So if you were to tighten the bolt through them and the reinforcement plate, wouldnt it just crush them together instead of reinforcing them?  or did I just not look at them close enough:punchballs:

Heres what I have done so far, if you would call it done.  I think I'm very lucky because EVERY bolt has come out almost easy.  Only needed a breaker bar on a couple bolts but after that they came out easy:D

I havent figured out what this is yet though.  Its behind the rear seat on the drivers side on a flip down rack

I know what these are though because it says right on them, lol.

The 1 on the driver side is the computer for the keyless entry.

Yes those pics do help.  The droplight had a flourecent light in it, otherwise it wouldnt have been laying there.

Greg, What do those bolt in the upper plates bolt into?
I'm having a hard time visualizing the under side of that

Do the lower ones bolt into the the stang brackets that you modded?

I gotta get them recovered because they are faded pretty bad:mad: The other one has a huge oil stain on it.  I think I will get rid of the tenzo r and have a thunderbird emblem stitched on in that spot

There is 2 holes in the brace used on the upper ctr arm mount.
The bolts go thur the brace up to the plate under the rear seat to tie it all together.

I welded the upper plate to the floor before I got done.
