CHE lower rear control arms

Hey guys I'm going to be ordering some control arms soon and I was wondering about what lowers to get. It appears that with the adjustable rears you can only raise your ride height and from what research I've done on here the only people that seem to be happy with the adjustable lowers are using mach 1 or bullitt rear springs. Now if I get the adjustable lowers am I limiting myself to mach/bullitt springs?

I'm curious because I plan on lowering this car at some point in time and will more than likely be using H&R springs/ or if money permits going coil over in the front and using the H&R for the rear. And ideally if I had the adjustable arms in the rear with coilovers up front then I could set my car anywhere I wanted to.

I'm using bullitts so I can't answer about stock springs,why don't you put the lowering springs in now while you have it apart,you can pretty much keep the stock height with the ajusters and still lower it if you want.

I need to buy a set of rims to lower my car so right now, that option is out.

The adjustables will lift the rear of the car by an inch or more. The Mach 1 springs are used to bring it back down. If you use Mach springs with adjustables now you can adjust 'em to stock height until you want to lower the car, then crank 'em down (you'll be able to get about 1.5" of drop)

Yep, I am nearly stock height with mine using the CHE adjustables and Mach1 springs (I had to adjust up about 1 1/4" on the CHE adjusters to get stock height with the Mach1 springs.) There is lots of room to adjust downward too so you could then lower the car using the same springs - good deal all around for you IMHO.

I'm using the moog cargo coils with my CHE adjustable rears, although they raised the rear to about where I was looking for they might be too high for someone else.

Well thanks guys, you've confirmed what I thought. And yes I would like to lower the car, but I can only lower the rear ATM because my rims have no offset and stick out too far up front

. So I think I will probably end up just ordering the non adjustables, I really don't want to add an extra 1inch even for the time being to the rear end. The thing already sits up in the air like a truck.

I thought Maximum Motorsport LCA's wouldn't work on our cars Bob. What gives?

No need for the attitude Bob. From doing a search on LCA's I got the impression that CHE's and Lakewoods were about the only options out there for LCA's (for our cars). I'm just trying to educate myself here.

It's good that you realized I wasn't trying to be a miscreant when I said I didn't think MM made LCA's for our cars. My only exposure to MM control arms and their offerings(until today), was a trip to Stangsuspension.com. I looked through all the MM LCA's there and didn't find any that would fit Birds, or Cougars.

Unfortunately, while perusing through MM's site, I didn't see any adjustable LCA's for our cars. Only fixed ones. Since I want adjustable lowers, I'll stick with the CHE's.
