The dude probably saw the R8, fell in love with it, and  realized he doesn't have 150 grand to spend on a car. So he looked at his cougar and thought "HMM, what if.....",and then he went for it. If I were in his shoes, I woulda done the same thing.

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D
