5.0 SO question...

....was wondering what cam would be good for a stock S.O.?, looking for a little more power from the Sport. I know, I know, HO swap, would love to, but really no extra funds right now for engine swap. also, would swapping E7s on make a difference ?. I have a set of stock HO headers, an h-pipe and some flowmasters waiting to go on. Was looking at swapping for a explorer intake sooner or later.
Not looking to run 10's, just some more power, Sport is kinda wimpy compared with the SHO, 220hp vs 150hp, but the SHO is the winter car. Thanks.:burnout:

-H.O cam......cheap through someone here or the Corral
-E-7 heads......from someone here or an EFI 5.0 pickup (cheap)
-Speed Density Stang computer (Ebay or the Corral....cheap)
-New timing chain
-Stang upper intake,t-body,and t-body spacer,and 19# injectors
-your exhaust pieces you mentioned above
-some gaskets

I think you could do the whole thing for a couple of hundred dollars easy if you take your time and really shop around for your parts.

I used E-6 heads for a while, and while they are not great, the car still ran super good with the other parts mentioned compared to the stock SO engine.

Go have fun

I have a stock Stang t-body I'll donate to your cause if you decide you want it.

K here we go (shameless plug cause I need cash)

-95k mile H.O cam
-E7 heads that I was told have only a few k miles on a rebuild.
-SD comp in the mark.
-Parts store has chains
-H.O upper and lower, with 19lb injectors, 60mm TB and EGR spacer with correct arm. (intake has new felpro gasket)

I really need to start unloading all these parts cause my mom is freaking out.
Let me know and I will hook you up.

For a budget,I'd leave the E-6 heads on for now,get the upper intake, injectors, and misc bits from mason (if you guys can work an agreeable deal),then you'll be set.I sent EVERYTHING for an H.O upgrade to a member here and it didn't cost as much as you'd think.

Computer
injectors
upper intake/spacer/throttlebody
cam

That's it except for gaskets and timing chain. That should really be cheap, all bolt on,and lot's of fun.H.O upgrade.

Yea id do like I did when I shipped a T-5, get a big chest from walmart and pack it with the stuff. 97 pounds was 85 bucks to ship.
Like I said I got 2 sets of heads, and one set came on a 100 dollar motor, so cutting you a good deal is not an issue for me. Just let me know because its gotta come out of the car and apart anyway so.
