GT-40 Intake Questions November 02, 2008, 09:42:18 AM I'm planning on buying a GT-40 intake from TMoss. If I did that, I'd have an intake that was cleaned up and painted, had the ACT port in the #5 runner already and was ready to go. When I asked Tom about buying one of his intakes, he threw me off with a couple of questions. I told him the intake would be for a Fox T Bird. Here's what he said/asked...."Hi Vic. I think the TBird uses an SN low profile upper with the 45 degree throttle body runner correct? But, it may use the Fox lower with the ACT in the #5 runner. I'd need you to verify these things for me so I can answer the rest of your questions."An SN low profile upper is what SN95 Stangs would use, so that WOULD BE the upper I'd want, wouldn't it be? As far as the 45 degree throttle body runner goes, I was under the impression that I wouldn't use any elbow at all between the TB and upper plenum. Wouldn't I just use a 65MM adapter and be done with it? I DO KNOW the ACT needs to be in the #5 intake runner on the lower, so I'm good on that. Thanks for any help on this guys. Quote Selected

GT-40 Intake Questions Reply #5 – November 02, 2008, 10:50:08 AM Tommy's thinking about the MN-12 birds....Our cars have more clearance then a fox Mustang which in turn has more than the SN-95 and MN-12 platform cars....You DO NOT NEED THE LOW PROFILE!Tell him this is a fox platform with the standard fox intake manifold setup. No elbow. Quote Selected
