2002 Mustang GT springs

Hey guys, as some of you know, I got a new set of wheels. 17x8 all the way around with 245/45/ZR17 tires. I'm just about to close a deal on a set of stock 02 GT springs, and I'm just askin for opinions/suggestions on how it'll sit, what problems I may face, etc.

Ok well I'm gonna assume that the silence means the springs should work fine.

On coolcats, it says for any drop 1.5in or more, you need offset steering rack bushings. Can anybody fill me in on that?

You *should* use offset rack bushings. Various theories abound. Bottom line is that your suspension may be a little out of whack. Offset rack bushings are one way to get things back to normal. So are caster/camber plates and a bump steer kit.

As for the springs, the theory is that they should work. I think a few people on the board have used SN95 springs before.

Where can I get those bushings and how hard are they to install? Are they expensive?

If they're difficult to install, what's the easiest way to get the suspension corrected?

here is my TC with 2000 GT springs:

I have 245/45/17's in the front and 275/40/17's in the rear.... the only issue is the quad shocks are long gone... and it will rub if I enter an incline on and angle

Do you know what's been done to the front suspension as far as bumpsteer is concerned?

Surely you cut those springs to get that ride height...

I have springs designed to lower a '99-04 GT convertible by 2" and it sits about the same.

Hey ron, i run 275/35/18's in the rear and they just fit with the quads,wonder why yours don't???

Your car is also a fair bit lighter than the 87/88 cars, and those springs are for heavy 'verts.

nope mine are not cut... at least as far as I know... the guy said they are stock springs....

Chris I think my tires bulge a bit more in the side walls as yours are mounted on 10" rims... mine are on 8" (I think... factory width wheel)

Just got my springs in today. I measured them. Two of them are 14 inches long, the other 2 are 13 inches long. Is that what they're supposed to be? I think someone said the stock Tbird springs are 14 inches, so did I just buy the same springs?

The a-arm/rear control arm perches differ from the 4 eyes to the 87-88's...

Installed height will change with spring rate
