Front Stainless brake line question 87 XR7

Real quick,  Does anyone know if you can use the stainless steel brake line kit that Russell makes for the 79 - 86 mustang on my 87 cougar xr7?  I have the stock 10" brakes on there which is the same size as the 79 - 86 mustang GT.  If anyone has done this or know of another company that has braided or stainless let me know. I think the Russell model number for their kit which I believe has a real line in it is #693000.  Thanks for your help...

Cool. I used those on my car almost 10 years ago...bolted right up, no issues whatsoever. In fact, all cars should have that mod.

I bought the front and rear kit for my 88 turbocoupe, and you cant use the rear hose.  Its too short, and would definately need brake line mods.  Now if only it would include a 3rd front hose, it would probably work perfect, lol

Turbo coupes had a different brake setup that an XR7 which only has 10" from rotors.  The front brakes on a cougar are the same as the brakes on a 79-86 V8 mustang.  The turbo coupe had 11" rotors, the same as the 87-93 mustang, so the front brake lines would be different.  I agree that the back line probably won't work since the rear differential is longer that that of a mustang, so i won't be using that.

thanks...... Have a great weekend.:D
