Yay I'm as fast a stock fox mustang LOL August 05, 2008, 11:46:20 PM 0-60 anyway. :hick: http://s129.photobucket.com/albums/p205/paulcougar50/?action=view¤t=0-60__.flv Lameass video in case anyone wants to see the run haha. Basically:......I got my 3.73s!!!!!!!! If you can read the tiny output on the GTech, it's 6.45 seconds. I gotta get over to that spot and do it again and see what it is without all the wheelspin lol. Easy to do just "dont get around to it" right? Honestly though my favorite part of that whole thing was roastin em. It would muster a very weak squeal for maybe a half second to a second before.......but now you mat it and they HOWL in protest. I can't believe how much more fun this car is. I know this is nothing really to brag about on here, but to me this car is now god lol. One thing I'd like to mention, and ask if it happens to anyone else....I can chirp second gear. Yes you read that right. For some reason its best if I lay into it not WOT but maybe 1/2-3/4 pedal run up to like 3500 rpm, dump it into D, and initially the RPMs slowly drop as expected with the AOD.....but then it actually grabs the gear, and "BARK!!" and I dont mean some weak barely audible squeak, I mean a satisfying, certified yelp. The first time it happened my eyes about fell out of my head. I can do this regularly. It brings an ear-to-ear grin to my face EVERY time. I dunno, I guess I feel like suddenly Im driving a bon-a-fide muscle car or something, simply because it'll bark the shift. Not only that, but unlike before when shifting into 2nd really seemed to "bog" the car down more than anything, it POWERS through it, it really seems to pull harder as the shift happens. It really kicks me in the ass. Basically, this car = epic win. So yeah hope you enjoyed a kid raving about his mediocre-on-this-board car but in all seriousness I think it's pretty good for a 20-year old kid's car, and my first car no less. No mommy and daddy didnt spend $40k on me to give me a high end 3-series BMW or something that would likely pull like this, I made it do that starting out with something that most look at as a good beater. In two years, it's gone from a 9.4 second 0-60 to 6.4 second 0-60. I love making the comparison. I cant even IMAGINE having to go back to what it was stock. *shudder*. Boy that would suck. Oh and one last thing. Talking to friends acquaintances car buddies at car shows and hangouts I call the '38 Buick "the big ol' grey baahhhhrge" and I'd call this "the red barge" or "the cat" or something. I now dub this Cougar "The Landshark". If anyone recalls the hilarious silly short SNL sketch by the same name, that's where I got it from. I love that sketch, and that's how I see this car. Its HUGE and weighty.....but pretty mean really. And I think the name sounds pretty cool. I will now wait for everyone, *especially* kingcars to berate me for being a huge geek for choosing that name. Oh well. :flip: I like it so Landshark it is. Beware the Landshark. You WILL NOT get away. Quote Selected

well sorry to disappoint anyone who was waiting.... Reply #4 – August 13, 2008, 07:57:25 PM No 1/4 times. Went today, and, though I just didnt know the first time I went, I forgot what they told me this time....that shorts aren't allowed. Which I dont understand anyway. But I couldnt run. Wasted 3 gallons of gas for nothing. shiznit, its the SUMMER. I CANT wear pants. I'll friggin sweat my ass off. I dont have working a/c anyway. That's enough of a reason for me to just not bother. On top of the gas....AND its $20 for as many runs as you wish...but theres always a lot of people there, you wait and wait and wait, and I only want one run anyway, maybe 2 for accuracy. If Im bored some night Ill go back the hell out onto rt 20 into the middle of nowhere, hook up the GTech again and put it in 1/4 mile mode and run it there. But this is truly a pain in the ass. Its not fun at all. Moreover, I dont CARE what the 1/4 time is. I cant believe I caved to peer pressure. Everyone I hang out with wants to know, I dont. The 0-60 time makes me grin ear to ear every time I say it, and it pulls like hell. Thats more than enough for me. :D Sorry if I left anyone hanging. Later. Quote Selected

Yay I'm as fast a stock fox mustang LOL Reply #7 – August 13, 2008, 09:53:27 PM Thats friggn stupid tho! See at this point its just more trouble than it's worth. Like driving 10 extra miles to save 3 cents on gas. As I said I really dont care. If I get a buddy who wants to run his car and says "hey wanna go to the track" THEN Ill go. But none of this flyin solo BS. I cant STAND being all alone like that for another thing. It puts me out of my element and Im not comfortable. The first time a car buddy I hang out with ALL the time at shows and cruises and the late night weekend hangout said he and his old man were gonna go. Said theyd meet me there. Guess what? They didnt show. So I was all alone, didnt know what the **** to do. Maybe its just me but I dont do well in that situation and it makes me VERY upset Sorry if I sound like a whiny little bitch but I can't help it, when things leave a bad taste in your mouth you're not keen on trying them again. I really have a lot more fun hanging out at the weds night cruise in with the '38. At least I know everyone will be there and I know everyone and everyone knows everyone and its like a big ol' family. What I NEED is my dad here to show me the ropes. I pray every day that I'll make it past effin 53 so I can do the same for my kid(s). :( Quote Selected
Yay I'm as fast a stock fox mustang LOL Reply #8 – August 15, 2008, 12:15:02 AM Don't get your panties all in a bunch because you decided to go to a track unprepared (they told you last time you needed pants and you forgot) and without friends. I love going to the track, but I NEVER go without friends, and I ALWAYS go with pants, long sleeve shirt, AND helmet even though I know I don't need them. Just doing little things like that make life easier. Now chill out, go back there with some friends, AND with a pair of pants, and you'll have yourself a great time. Quote Selected
Yay I'm as fast a stock fox mustang LOL Reply #9 – August 15, 2008, 10:26:59 AM I don't understand what everybody's problem is with goin' to the track alone...are you guys that sheltered and scared of the world? Go out, have some fun, talk to some people in the staging lanes as you're waiting and maybe make some new friends...go out and have some fun! Don't just sit in being afraid of everything you've never tried. Quote Selected
