5 lug is coming... August 01, 2008, 08:50:56 PM SO the Mark VII rear I had lined up the guy ended up being a total:shakeass:. I asked how much if I pulled it and got no reply so I offered him 140 (want 160) and he tells me no Ill keep it. Well I figured it is worth 160 so I asked hiim what the story was on the 3.55 since I thought it had 3.27. He says They were an option and its not for sale DONT contact me again. I'm glad no one here does business like that but it doesnt matter i dont care anymore. So I have decided I'm going 5 lug and giving up on my bike fund. I need to be able to stop this thing so might as well do 5 lug at the same time.So now I'm on the hunt for a Mark VII rear close to me. then find some front end parts. Hope this opne works out. 5 lug is coming... Reply #2 – August 02, 2008, 03:39:14 PM From CoolCats:Quote5-Lug, Rear Disc Brakes/1994-98 MustangSince the 1994-98 Mustangs and the 1985-88 Cougar/T-Bird basically have the same width rear axle, this is probably the most logical step. All mounting points are the same as what's on your car now, making this a very easy swap. The V6 Mustangs had the 7.5" rear end while all V8's had the 8.8", and all had at least a 3.08 gear. Keep in mind that all 1994-up Mustangs had disc brakes, but the rear rotors are solid, not vented. Only the Cobras had vented rear discs. To use a 1994-98 Mustang rear in your car you will need to install emergency brake cables from a 1987-88 Turbo CoupeShould be plenty around here. Try stlmustangs.com. Quote Selected
