The piece you got rid of had a metered orifice on it.  With that unmetered "T" you installed, you would be getting pretty much no boost signal to the WGA and it should act just like it did when you disconnected the WGA completely like previously.
Then again, you are also bleeding off some of your boost signal as well through that unmetered bleed back into the intake.  Not a big leak, but a leak nonetheless.

That explains that then....when i put in the manual boost control will it bypass that? i tried to buy a new one when mine broke but to no avail.

Yeah, the manual control doesn't depend on that fitting.

i finally got around to making my MBC. i made it for $8 from ace.  I made mine out of a male/female 1/4" barbed fittings, so they just screw together to increase boost. i cut the spring down too much so I ran out of adjustment at 11PSI.  i just have to mess with it but i am sure i can get it to 18 PSI soon.  Another trick I read is to put a straw over the spring to keep it straight inside the fittings(keeps the ball seated).  completely different car!
