coilovers on front

ok i did a search and found nothing on this subject. i've been told by more than one person and read somewhere that the front strut towers are not really strong enough to support coilovers. anyone have any info on this subject?

Caster/Camber plates are recommended for coil over conversions.  They add strength to the upper strut mount (don't use aluminium one's).  Maximum Motorsports makes a nice set, there may be other manufactures as well.

It would still be a good idea to install a strut tower brace for general rigidity's sake.

Ditto on 86T-bird's comment, the Maximum Motorsport pieces are superior to any else I've seen.
