Brought a Cougar back to life

Well here is the story of my DD car. I was getting extremely sick of 15mpg in my 01 F-150, so i drove by a local shop and happened to notice this forlorn cougar sitting out behind the shop. I went in and asked the owner if it was for sale, he said sure $400 as thats what he had in it. I took a look at it, it has a very clean interior, only thing is the dashpad is cracked(arent they all). well it had a bad headgasket as thats why it was sitting, i put new headgaskets on it, had the heads magnafluxed and checked out, no cracks and they are in great shape, i put it all back together and am drivng it now. I've been driving it since Wed last week and i've went about 300 mi to 2/3rds tank of gas, so as far as good gas mileage its awesome, just gotta get the A/C fixed now. Here are some pics of Before and after, i just ran out and snapped these real quick. these are the before, and if you notice in the after pics i repainted the bumpers where they were fading out. I'm still sunburnt from doing that haha. Its dirty too, she hasnt had a bath in a week lol

Awsome....Not a bad lookin Cougar!!!

I got my 88' from a friend that let it sit for 4 years. He was not going to do anything with it so I helped him with his nouse restoration for what equated to 10 hrs and he gave me the car.

I have about $100.00 in parts into it thus far and it is just about road worthy sans a few odds and ends.

That's the way I found the Sport,it was behind a fence at a salvage/towing business.I found it by accident.Glad I did. Now,every part replaced later, still rebuilding it.LOL.Nice looking Cougar, especially for the money.Very nice.Get one of the dash caps from Ebay.takes a little time and patience tpuppies it to fit,but very nice in the end.Again, nice score.Any mods in the future?
