88xr7

Recently had to rob an eec from an 88xr7 with perfect charcoal interior.

Exterior was burgandy
I noticed that the molding was centerlined with gold.
the cougar on the rear quarter was also gold.
turbines were not gold, just plain polished aluminum.

Is this gold trim i describe odd?

20th edition. all were xr7's. Also, it might have been an 87...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

All 20th's were '87's and didn't have charcoal interiors and Scott knows what they are considering the fact that he owns one....Did this car have a Landau roof or anything like that?

Yeah can't be a 20th if its not the tan leather/suede interior.

http://www.coolcats.net/fox/20thanniversary.html  Also 20ths were not XR-7s, it was based off the LS. ;)

Perfect charcoal interior would say that it was not a 20th.  Burgandy paint would say that it was not an XR7.  Were the mirrors chrome or burgandy?  Were the door handles black or chrome?

It actually sounds like a special dealer pimp/trim package on an LS.

It had a sun roof, floor shift, buttstuffog cluster, appeared fully loaded with power lumbar , keyless ect ect.

I cant remember the color of the mirrors but i will get pics and post them.

Its not really in bad shape , body is great but header is busted up bad from front end hit.  I felt bad getting the eec out of it but the owner got it for the motor free.  I thought it was not so good of an idea for him to give up the eec knowing he is going to use the motor later and keep it EFI but oh well.

He has his own personal fox JY.

He also has an 85 2.3 bird which is cherry under the hood down to all the factory ties and wire loom ect.

With a 1988 XR7?  Smells of customization... imho
