Did I make a good deal?

I was advertizing the 5.0L and trans, from the old sport I sped, for $300.00. A guy I know who races mustangs showed up to look at it and we started talking. He said he might have a couple sets of e7 heads and the rest of the stuff needed to do the HO conversion on the base t-bird. The only thing is he doesn't think he has the computer. He does have the mass air meter if I wanted to go that way.

I told him, depending on what he does have, I might do a straight up trade. So, like the title says, is it a good deal?

It may be a good trade. You'll need the injectors, fuel pump, intake, cam, headers, heads, throttlebody,Mass Air meter/sensor/ducting,and a computer for the setup. The heads are cheap, intakes sell on Ebay and the Corral for really cheap (almost throw away),and factory headers sell for $20.00 and less.If yopu don't need the engine and tranny at all, trade it if you're really not out anything anyway.Tell him to look for the computer. That's the expensive part of the whole deal. The A9L and A9P sell for pretty good money.

Thanks! I sent him the parts list from coolcats. He's going to see what he has on the list. The engine and trans are really just in my way and I want to get rid of them. An extra 70hp in trade sounds good.

Seems like a good deal if you get all the parts you need plus a few extras.

Sad part is, other than the exhaust system, originally none of the parts cost any more to mfgr than the SO stuff...
