I forget who made the machines (back in the late 60's and early 70's there were dozens upon dozens of snomobile manufacturers, including John Deere, Evenrude, Harley Davidson, etc) but I think the engines were made by Sachs. Back when I had several early 70's snowmobiles (two '74 Olympiques, three mid 70's SkiRoules, and an Arctic Cat Cheetah) I had a universal snowmobile manual that detailed the tossels.
