How the hell did you get enough torque out of a rotary to break a U-joint?

Rotaries are cool, BTW - ever seen a rotary snowmobile or chainsaw?

No, but I saw one of those wacky FWD German rotary sedans with the dual carbs. That was neat!

I'll take some rotary snowmobile goodness though... :hick:

They made 'em. I forget who made the machines (back in the late 60's and early 70's there were dozens upon dozens of snomobile manufacturers, including John Deere, Evenrude, Harley Davidson, etc) but I think the engines were made by Sachs. Back when I had several early 70's snowmobiles (two '74 Olympiques, three mid 70's SkiRoules, and an Arctic Cat Cheetah) I had a universal snowmobile manual that detailed the tossels. Magic spinny triangles FTW!

Health insurance companieis will ding you for private venue racing too if they find out. You get hurt on a race track and you're not covered by a lot of policies.
I've never heard of a health insurance company denying a claim because the accident was received while "racing". Life insurance is a different story.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
