whats your plans for spring?

winter is geting old-fast!!!we had a nice day today so i had to get the car out-only to the end of the driveway but still, was so nice to drive it again! this still wont be the year for new paint (again) but a new hood, and a wing is going to happen. somehow a set of headers & pipes by mid summer

I don't think paint is going to happen for me either. This 351 is going to eat up all of my car $$ and than some :( I might have to rough it with this paint. The car looks silly now with py paint and perfect shinny chrome ponys lol...

For me I'm dropping off the edelbrock heads and trickflow heads to the machine shop to get cleaned up and checked next week. That following weekend I'll be pulling the 351w from the cougar and dropping that off to get rebuilt so hopefully by spring I have a garage full of parts and I'm putting this motor back together :)

cleaning the cat up polishing all the chrome... getting it painted WHITE.

Getting the bird up to par and figure out most of its problems. maybe drop the 331 block off to be bored and decked and all sized up and acid dipped.

Getting the truck to look less ugly. maybe if money permits.... drop it off at macco and gettin a cheap single stage black thrown on it. and putting some more work into it just being a work truck.

Thats prolly my whole summer.

well i hope to scoop up some of those mach 1 parts. the caris realy on the back burner though. this will be our first summer in the house we bought and theres a ton of little projects the woman and i want to get into with it. im pretty stoked she finally found a "hobby". im also focusing on another project ive wanted to do for years. this ones gonna take up all of my play money for probably the next year so its probably unrealistic that ill get much if anything done with the mustang. i do want to get some mach 1 seats and re cover them to match my tan interior, have the hood painted (my 3 year old drew me a picture. on the hood. with a rock. i thanked the baby sitter many times.) its going to get a dyno tune so id deffinetly like to throw some gears in the rear, install a mid pipe as well as maybe an aftermarket "cai" to take advantage of the tune. i hope for fr500 wheels but im thinking next year. hopefully finally those, an ibach pro kit, and a P1SC.

Hopefully get an engine in the Turbo Coupe.  I would like to get the Special Edition tagged and insured this summer so I can enjoy it again, probably for the last time.  Needs wiring stuff sorted out and some other work.

Then install the heads, intake, injectors, and all the other parts on the Cougar and have it ready for Cat Jam.

Spring is out of the question for me. I need to finish school, graduate and get a good job. This working two jobs (at least 44 hours/wk combined) and going to school full time leaves me absolutely no time to do anything to any of the cars.

My plans are to drive the God-ed thing (T-Bird). It's been laid up for almost two years while I've been working on it, and I'm missing it. It will still have the stock non-HO 5.0 and AOD. It'll still be slow. But dammit, it'll be mobile.

And it'll look good, thanks to the paint job I did last fall.

And it'll handle and stop well, thanks to the rebuilt front suspension with all poly bushings, TC front brakes and rear end (3.55) with CHE control arms, Mach 1 springs (that I don't own yet but will be buying either from 32V or here, all new shocks, struts, & strut mounts, TC sway bars, and subframe connectors.

...at least it had better. I haven't driven the thing with all those goodies yet.

finish swapping the v-6 tranny and new engine block. It'll be mostly stock...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
