when lowering an 87-88 tc?

which suspension do i use to rid myself of the autoride and lower the car a bit?  i'd imagine that i'd just use 83-86 parts, but thought i'd ask first.

I'm planning to use '87-93 Mustang shocks & struts with Thunderbird strut mounts.

Just keep in mind you need some of chuck's brackets for Fox rear shocks...otherwise you need '94+ shocks, I think.

Ah. I couldn't remember if it was all of them or just the fox shocks.

  Me too.

I had those shock extenders on a 79 LeBaron once, and they broke within a month.  That said, the rear on those cars is leaf spring, and I had shackle extensions on it too.  Oh the youngun days.

As for using Chucks shock extensions, I also plan to use 94-04 Mustang lowering springs, and CHE adjustable control arms.  If this won't work, let me know, please.

Well, I have a hunch you may find the rear TOO low with '94+ lowering springs.

I have stockers in the rear of mine and they lowered it at least an inch.

You may be right.  I'm looking for close to 3" lowering overall.  I have a fox mustang rear, and am mini-tubbing the rear. I have a 9" Moser rear going in eventually, and I'm not sure if the 9" housing by nature will lift it back up 1/2" or not.  I'm sure there will be many revisions as I go, lol.

3"?

You're really not supposed to go over 2 on this type of suspension, or it gets thrown all out of whack.

Hell, mine is about 1.5-2" in front and 1-1.5" and it's as low as I ever want it to be, maybe even too low. You really gotta watch with these things since they have such large front and rear overhangs. As it is, my car drags a lot.
