Super Clean will also dissolve your skin.... It's pretty nasty stuff.

I've never had an issue with Simple Green stripping paint.

I bought some Gunk Engine Brite the other day but I haven't got a chance to try it out as I have no water source that works in -40 degree weather.

Learned that the hard way, by the time I realized it a ready drew blood in mutable places on both hands. And when my hands dried the pain got worse. This was Some sort of biological cleaner similar to simple green. it was approx 10/1 diluted w/water. I was exposed for a long period of time. One of the dumb things iv done-lesson learned

and to think back in the old days people used the stuff to wash there bodies with it.  good ole lye soap has come along way. yep there is said it. super clean is lye soap just like oven cleaner.

You guys should look for a product called spray 9.  it's hardcore for a cleaner but its safe to work around.  my dad gets it by the box at his job and we use it for anything.  it will get anything clean..  when i pressure washed we used simple green, its cheap and effective, but like cleaning mold off the north side of a building, if you miss spot it'll leave clean spots and dirty spots you missed.  as far as using it on painted version, i never really let it sit on anything long enough b/c it works really fast. spray 9 can be left on things untill drive, pressure washed the next day after sun, and not do anything to paint.  i still wouldnt do it on the outside of a car.  karate kid style maybe.  theres some detergent concentrate that we used that WOULD eat your skin, so the more concentrated yeh the cleaner gets more toxic so beware.  prolly why the heavy duty stuff can do that.

the absolute best stuff to clean parts is this stuff my dad gets from work, its got the company logo on it and its called "brake cleaner" it can dissolve and weaken rubber so its kinda hit and miss b/c you dont wanna bomb the whole hood with it.  but anyway its good stuff i'll look into what the generic product is.  most of you prolly have already used it or something similar or even the generic branf.

well if the paint has loosened up over time of the grease and grime. and when you go to clean it up it will take the paint. but i have personally used oven cleaner with alot of sucsess. but i am not sure if im gonna go that route again on the supercoupe.

oven cleaner WILL eat paint, I use that stuff to strip the paint off my 1/24 plastic models when I want to repaint them.....

I use mean green, or power green (same shiznit) and a pressure washer, and it works great...

i use pine sol to strip the paint of models. takes the paint right of and doesn't hurt the plastic. you have to soak them over night though. as for real car stuff i stand by my super clean1
