High Compression 2.3 NA (with a Turbo Block)

Has anyone here ever done a high-compression naturally aspirated 2.3L? I have a couple 2.3 Turbo Blocks laying around. As a project, I thought it would be neat to make a high-strung 4 pot out of one of them, but keep it Naturally Aspirated. I would probably drop it in a Jeep or Ranger. What do you think?

yep, done quite often,  check up in some "mini-stock" race fourms

not enough diffreance between a NA and turbo block

I had a 13:1 comp 2.3 I ran on the street, .532 lift cam, 390 CFM dubbl pumper holley
1985 TC (yet another one) Fully loaded
has 225k mile  still with the factory head gasket

84  Turbo ranger  Daily driver  ($800.00 Ebay deal)
volvo FMIC and more getto rigging than the law should allow

WOW! that sounded like a mean little 2.3! What did you have that in? How much power would a max effort 2.3 make N/A?

on and off ive been picking at info here and there reguarding this type of thing, been wanting to build a 2.3 na for years but caught between the volvo head swap and a dirt stock build high compression (but nothing i see is fuel injected). not likely going to be able to do both and neither is going to make a good daily, which is probly what i would do with it. for what people are doing with stock na blocks(with some miles) unless i already had a turbo block i wouldnt bother seeking one out for this.
someday ... :burnout:
