"Dad, could you drop me off a block before the theater?"

Does anyone else absolutely LOATHE this new Ford ad (the one about the hybrid Escape)? Okay, let me get this straight -- if some enviro SNOBS are going to stare down their noses because I'm not driving a hybrid, I'm supposed to cower and kowtow? That's not to say that I don't want to see things like plug-ins, hybrids, or H2 cars, but good grief! That ad is just obnoxious!

What can I say...I don't react well to peer pressure. That ad makes me want to make my T-Bird truly obnoxious to the enviros.

Man those enviro-snobs must have hated my Bird last summer since it seemed to smoke at idle every time I stopped at a light...doh

Don't watch so much TV, problem solved :hick:

Also I have no respect for anyone that drives an SUV in the first place, much less a hybrid SUV in an attempt to feel better about driving an oversized station wagon with no aerodynamics.

WOW see that ad could have been done SOOOOO much better. I actually liked the last part VERY much. "I never thought I needed to talk about it". At least the way I see it a stab at the people who are way too in-your-face about hybrids.

But yeah the girl is awful.
