A successful day's hunting (WARNING - DEAD BAMBI PIC)

I ended a three year deer hunting drought today. The amazing thing is that it was only the second day of the season (deer season opened yesterday, the 26th). Because I was desperate for a taste of deer meat I took the first buck that crossed my path (I only had an "antlered" tag). Shot this three-pointer today at 6:00 PM

That picture is the most unbelievably incredible thing I have seen this week.

Three year drought?  At least now you can stalk the freezer.  Do you butcher the meat yourself?

Around here its still moose season.  Deer is two weeks away; hopefully we'll have some snow on the ground before then.  After the first snowfall the deer are very active.
