How in the hell does that make sense? Oh, and one more thing. If you're trying to sell a car, wouldn't you think to take the extra minute to proofread what you type? It looks like this kid hammered out his description in an instant message conversation. Quote Selected

Uhh... How in the hell does that make sense? That problem is actually possible and known. It's commonly caused by low voltage to the speedometer circuit, a ground issue, or some electrical noise. At idle, the speedometer can "twitch" and "drift" a few MPH while the vehicle is completely stopped. That will make the mileage accumulate. However, I think the author overstated this just a bit, as I doubt it amounted too much extra mileage. Quote Selected

Turbo Coupe on eBay - Uhh... Reply #4 – October 28, 2007, 12:41:11 AM That's cool, but none of us would know it was immaculate with that picture. If the car is that nice, it would be in the seller's best interest to share a few more pics. I'm just saying. Quote Selected

I knew about the bouncy speedometer and its connection (so to speak) to glitches and a failing alternator, but I didn't understand what he meant.I didn't think that a jumpy speedo would crank the odometer - hell, I didn't think those components were even connected in any way... at least, not on the cluster.I stand corrected.
