Ecu ?

I went to the local junkyard and pulled out a computer from an old fox stang. Im not sure of the year because the sticker was missing from the door. It had the little square headlights in the front and t-tops any sugg. on the year and if it will work on my 88 sportHO. Also is our gov in the trans or in the computer?

If it has t-top or the little headlights in the front, it's 86 or earlier.  I suppose you could use this computer, but it wouldn't work if you're Mass air.

I've never hit any governor on either an A9P or A9L, so I'm assuming there really isn't one.

I was told that the Mustang GT computers don't have a speed limiter. Was the Mustang you pulled the computer from a GT or a 4 cylinder car? Also, the GT has a 351 firing order and the standard 5.0 does not.I don't know that the computer will work.
