I am new to this fourm but i am no several other forums like tccoa and tstacc but i have a question that you may be able to help with... The other day my car started and then the revs just dropped and the car shut off, and the check engine light came on and then i tried to restart it and it did the same thing so i waited like 15 min and the car started fine??? any ideas of what might be wrong??

Well you think you could be more specific and tell us what car you have?

Kind of useful info, you know.

Have you run codes on it?

Sorry i have a 1988 thunderbird turbo

Take it to Autozone or the like and have them run codes for you.

They should do it for free.

Well it turns out that it is my alternator

but i am talking to someone i know who used to work for ford to see if he can get me one...otherwise i am open to ideas
