Opinion needed on next project...

Well, as you all know I sold Layla, my 88 TC. I'm on the hunt for a new project, but I've been "lax" on it because I have until Spring really, and don't "need" another car. I kind of want to "play the field" and see what's out there.

I've already had:
1983 TC, 5-Speed
1987 TC, 5-Speed (multiples)
1987 TC, Auto
1988 TC, 5-Speed (multiples)
1988 Cougar LS 5.0, Auto

I really want another 5.0 car, and I feel I haven't done enough with Cougars yet.

Problem is I found a car already. 1985 Thunderbird 30th Anniversary Edition. Regatta Blue over Silver, 5.0, AOD. Loaded out (for a 30th anyways, no vent windows), all original, 160K miles or so, runs and drives, no rust, never hit, decent paint. And the price is VERY good (which is why this is grating on me).

I'd love to own it, swap in a T5, play with the 5.0 (remember I have a roller one out of my 87 Sport parts car) and generally have another fun project car. So what do you think? Go for it? Or ride it out and see what else comes along?

I want a late 80's cougar with the 5.0 motor in it. And then when the 351c goes back in my 1bdbird i'll use the mustang 5.0ho motor for a nasty turbo motor,so i can blow it sky high smoking a bowtie!!!!!!!!!!!!

AM are you sure you want a ford?  I have a couple chevy cars and would really like to have my Nova out of the garage running under its own power again.. been three years..

I have seen you post about chevy cars a bit.. just wondering..  I like the idea of a ls1 powered fox..  of course I might see this post of mine in the morning and wonder "c00ch was I thinking?"

I won't name the next one!

I really want a 68 AMX for my 401. Or a WS6 LS1 T/A. Or a Ferrari. None are in my price range. :(

I want and can afford another Fox Bird/Cat. 5.0 this time though ;)
