Really stoopid question

ok, so I was at Autozone today and i saw an exhaust tip like the ricers use to make their cars sound like angry weed eaters.
my question is, we know what they sound like on  4bangers, what would they sound like on a V8?  don't plan on trying it, just curious.

An exhaust tip won't really change your exhaust note. It may resonate somewhat, but it would barely be noticeable. Most of the imports kids who put the "fart pipes" on their cars have rear-mounted lers; therefore, they replace the whole thing with a more open ler and a huge tip. That's why they're so loud and obnoxious.

A V8 will sound like a V8 regardless of ler.

Yes ive always wondered that too.

I found out like a year ago with this: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/3b72b493-b8d8-4770-ab9a-982e01033.htm  I really like the idea....take a 240sx and drop in the infiniti q45 v8!!! But....sure enough big ass fart can on it. Bleh.

Gotta say it does actually sound pretty good, kinda hard to mess up a V8 completely but its got a hint of riceyness in it.

Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

And there you have it... Mostly a result of the 90* firing order on a V8...
