The 84 xr7 pics October 03, 2007, 09:55:20 AM Haven't done this yet other than when I bought it and it was in the wrong thread, so here is some updated pics on what this car looks like then and now. Don't have much in money right now so all I can really do is a few things here and there. Since cleaning it doesn't cost me anything (other than electricity) it got a major scrubbing. Enjoy.BrianHere is some nasty before pics...... Quote Selected

The 84 xr7 pics Reply #6 – October 03, 2007, 10:45:51 AM Looks good Brian.I might have a "proper" driver mirror as my 84 XR-7 was the same color. I'm pretty sure I took them off the car before it was sped. Quote Selected
The 84 xr7 pics Reply #7 – October 03, 2007, 10:46:39 AM atariman- Looks good so far can't wait to see your (cat). When it's done and you know in your mind that restoring the car takes alot of time and sweat out of yourself. LOL Quote Selected
The 84 xr7 pics Reply #8 – October 03, 2007, 01:53:19 PM Ive never seen haze polish out of clear like that. That looks NICE! Needs some different wheels, and Cougar mudflaps, not TBird. That is in great condition. Quote Selected
The 84 xr7 pics Reply #9 – October 03, 2007, 03:04:00 PM Thanks for the compliments guys!Quote from: Aerobird Motorsports;180500VERY nice Brian What polisher do you use, the PC?In order to get the hase out, I used a real aggressive 3m super duty rubbing compound, then finished it up with some run of the mill napa garabage called TECnique finishing glaze, then just some wax. Oh, and a electric buffer with a variable speed selection. Doesn't take long and junk you didn't think would come out, came right out. I'm pretty sure I took them off the car before it was sped.Well, chalk me up for that tailight and the mirror. Carl gave me his passenger mirror just so I could make them match, but I would rather have the non-chrome originals back on the myself. Oh yeah, I took off those mudflaps because they were T-bird and they were all broke and twisted. Different rims? When it gets restored, I will change them too. Hopefully I can win the lottery without playing soon and start restoring this beast.Brian Quote Selected
The 84 xr7 pics Reply #10 – October 03, 2007, 03:33:34 PM lolBrian, I meant what polisher do you use? :hick: I have the Porter-Cable (PC) 7424. I did the 6.5" counterweight mod to use the bigger pads (Lake Country). As far as liquids go, I use a bunch of stuff, all high-end. The 3M is good stuff for that kind of heavy work. Quote Selected
